All About Us

Are you wondering who The Active Family is?
Read on to find out!

The head of our family was once a Marine and now continues his love of being active and outdoors with his family of 8. John is a personal trainer with a specialization in children's fitness. He enjoys running and lifting weights. His favorite afternoon? The entire family playing at a local park.

I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and I put my education to use every day as mom to six. I love to play with my kids, especially board games and non-competitive outdoor fun like family tennis or snowman building. I also like to read, blog and go on picnics. I am constantly searching for healthy foods my kids will love to eat.

T.K. is our oldest, crazy-active, boy. He's always loved to play outside, try anything and go-go-go. T.K.'s current passions are football, baseball, drawing, running, reading and piano. He is our eco-friendly child and keeps us on our toes asking questions about technology that we attempt to answer.

Boy number 2 is Rooster and he ALWAYS keeps up with his big bro! He's athletic and loving. Currently, he loves basketball, baseball and bugging Boo. He is crazy smart and always full of energy.

Our Aussie-born boy, Boo, has the sweetest smile and laugh... which is a good thing now that he's the cause of so much trouble! He loves to play baseball with his big brothers and says "I'm gonna crush it!" when it's his turn to bat.

Cat loves books, babies and anything that uses her imagination. She will do anything her siblings request of her and loves to hug everyone. She always rides the bikes at school.

Bug loves imaginative play, school and going for walks to the park. She is smart, funny and we love watching her grow and change each day.

The Baby is our special bundle of sweet smiles. We all love to snuggle him and dance with him, which he loves. He seems to have a new word each day and is spoiled rotten by all of his older siblings.
