My mom works in the health care industry and sometimes brings me home the newsletters/handouts they give to their patients (there are dieticians in her office so a lot of it is nutrition-based information). Recently she gave me Sprouts, a "nutrition newsletter for busy parents with growing kids" produced by the Health Education Council, which appears to be funded by California Food Stamps... which makes little sense to me because you can't eat it so I don't see how it is funded by food stamps....
No, I'm not an idiot, I get that it probably gets funding from the same stream as food stamps does. I just think saying it is funded by California Food Stamps is dumb.
Anyway, my point is that it had this little gem inside:
Division of Responsibility
Kids are responsible for.... deciding how much and if they are going eat at all.
Parents are responsible for.... selecting and serving healthy foods for kids to eat.
LOVE THAT!!
