First baseball game of the season was tonight! It was just a practice game for Rooster but I got a chance to see how the little ones have changed (or not) since last season. Baby wasn't running around then, so that was certainly easier! He's turned into quite the little take-off artist. The girls, well, they were tired and cranky (it was the end of a long, busy weekend) but mostly seemed the same as last year. They are going to need lots to keep them busy! We went through 6 things of bubbles at tonight's game. Many fields here are not great locations - you are basically sitting in rock. Or even almost in the parking lot. Or in the sun on a cement path. Hmm... that last one might lend itself to some sidewalk chalk. See, I just need to get creative! Balls are hard because basically none of my youngest 4 can catch- it's more like games of fetch. Or balls hitting other parents- not a good way to make friends.
Boo was cranky, too, although he pulled it together and was very cute playing with Baby and Bug. I think it will be hit or miss with him. And many times he will have his own games, too- first time! T-Ball!
I think we will be eating picnic dinners about 3 times a week for the next two months. So I'm gathering some good ideas for that. Costco here I come tomorrow!
